The Vintage Wine Tasting Box #2
Vintagevin Tasting Box — A journey through three decades
Imagine opening three bottles of wine that together represent 50 years of European wine history. That is exactly what the Vintagevin Tasting Box gives you.
We have handpicked three extraordinary wines from three of Europe's most iconic wine regions — and three very different decades. It is the perfect introduction to vintage wine.
The box's three wines:
🇫🇷 Saint Aubin Hubert Lamy 1er Cru Les Frionnes 1994 — Burgundy A Premier Cru from one of Burgundy's most venerable producers. 1994 is a complex and nuanced vintage that offers mineral elegance and great depth. Burgundy is home to the world's most expensive white wines — and Hubert Lamy is a name wine lovers around the world respect.
🇫🇷 Château Paveil de Luze 1989 — Margaux, Bordeaux A classic Margaux from one of Bordeaux's most legendary vintages. Château Paveil de Luze has been owned by the Barons de Luze since 1862 — an unbroken family line through more than 160 years. 1989 was a sunny and warm year, and the wine offers a fragrant nose of blackcurrants, violets, and cedarwood, with Margaux's well-known aromatic finesse and a long, elegant finish.
🇮🇹 Brunello di Montalcino Altesino 1975 Riserva — Tuscany A 51-year-old Brunello Riserva from Altesino — one of Montalcino's most legendary wineries, founded in the 1970s at the historic Palazzo Altesi. 1975 is one of the mythical Brunello vintages that collectors still speak of with reverence. Aromas of dried cherries, leather, tobacco, and dried roses, with well-integrated tannins and an impressive, persistent finish. A living piece of wine history — and a bottle that has matured quietly in the cellar for half a century.

How it handles
you your wine
Storage
Store the bottle horizontally at 12–14°C and avoid direct sunlight, vibrations, and temperature fluctuations.
Opening
Allow the bottle to stand upright for 24–48 hours before opening to allow sediment to settle. Use a professional corkscrew and open carefully.
Enjoyment
Serve at 17–18°C and be patient – there is a great difference in how and how quickly wines open up when they are aerated.
