Vintage taste box 2.0
Vintage Wine Tasting Box — Three decades, three great wine regions
Imagine opening three bottles, where the oldest was harvested 51 years ago. That is exactly what the Vintage Wine Tasting Box gives you.
We have handpicked three extraordinary wines from three of Europe’s most iconic wine regions — Margaux, Volnay and Barolo — from three different decades. It is the perfect introduction to vintage wine.
The box’s three wines:
🇫🇷 Château Rauzan-Gassies 1983 — Margaux, Bordeaux
A Deuxième Grand Cru Classé from the 1855 classification, and one of Margaux’s historic estates with roots dating back to the Middle Ages. 1983 was Margaux’s year: the appellation performed better than any other in Médoc, and many rank the commune’s 1983s above the famous 1982s. The wine offers dried blackcurrant, plum, violet and cedarwood with tobacco and forest floor underneath — and the silky-soft, perfumed texture for which Margaux is known.
🇫🇷 Volnay-Brouillards 1er Cru 1990 — Burgundy
A Premier Cru from Domaine Bernard & Louis Glantenay, a small family estate in the heart of Volnay. 1990 is considered among the very greatest vintages in modern red Burgundy, and Volnay is the most elegant red wine commune in the whole of Côte de Beaune. Aromas of dried cherry, wild strawberry, forest floor and dried rose — silky-soft on the palate with fine tannins, lively acidity and a long, ethereal finish.
🇮🇹 Barolo Bersano 1975 — Piedmont
A 51-year-old Barolo from Bersano, the historic winery in Nizza Monferrato founded in 1907. Nebbiolo in its most transparent form: dried rose petal, sour cherry, tar, leather, tobacco and a hint of truffle. The tannins are fully integrated, the acidity keeps the wine upright, and the finish is long and saline-spiced. 1975 was a balanced and elegant vintage — finesse over power.

How it handles
you your wine
Storage
Store the bottle horizontally at 12–14°C and avoid direct sunlight, vibrations, and temperature fluctuations.
Opening
Allow the bottle to stand upright for 24–48 hours before opening to allow sediment to settle. Use a professional corkscrew and open carefully.
Enjoyment
Serve at 17–18°C and be patient – there is a great difference in how and how quickly wines open up when they are aerated.
