Michelin Guide Burgundy 2026

In July 2026, the MICHELIN Guide made history: for the first time ever, the Guide turned its gaze from the restaurants to the wine cellars and released its very first wine selection — in Burgundy. 94 selected domaines across the Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune and Côte Chalonnaise were judged by the same uncompromising standard as the Guide's restaurants and awarded one, two or three grapes, while the most reliable addresses were recognised as "Selected". Here you will find our vintage wines from the distinguished domaines — every bottle cellared, inspected and ready to be opened.

Burgundy wines from MICHELIN-distinguished domaines

The collection is led by Domaine Georges Roumier of Chambolle-Musigny — honoured with three grapes alongside Romanée-Conti and Leroy — and Domaine Hubert Lamy of Saint-Aubin, whose Premier Cru vineyards Les Frionnes and En Remilly rank among the appellation's finest. From the two grapes houses, the collection holds Domaine Dujac of Morey-Saint-Denis, Denis Mortet of Gevrey-Chambertin and Paul Pillot of Chassagne-Montrachet. Among the one grape domaines you will find Burgundy's great houses Joseph Drouhin and Louis Jadot, alongside Marc Colin of Saint-Aubin and Roblet-Monnot of Volnay. The Guide's "Selected" category is represented by Hubert Lignier of Morey-Saint-Denis, the historic house of Bouchard Père & Fils, Albert Bichot's Domaine du Clos Frantin in Gevrey-Chambertin, Alain Gras of Saint-Romain and Domaine Rapet of Pernand-Vergelesses.

Pinot Noir and Chardonnay — the birthplace of terroir

Burgundy is where the modern concept of terroir was born. The region's celebrated climats — a mosaic of more than 1,200 precisely defined vineyard plots, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list — are expressed through just two grapes: Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The reds of the Côte de Nuits, from Gevrey-Chambertin, Chambolle-Musigny, Morey-Saint-Denis and Nuits-Saint-Georges, offer cherry, forest floor and silky tannins that develop truffle and autumn leaves over decades in bottle. The whites of the Côte de Beaune, from Chassagne-Montrachet, Saint-Aubin and Meursault, unite ripe fruit with mineral tension — while Volnay, Beaune, Savigny-lès-Beaune and Aloxe-Corton stand for the elegant reds. Unlike the châteaux of Bordeaux, Burgundy's domaines are small, family-run houses where the same hands tend a few hectares — often just a few barrels of each wine. That makes every bottle a rarity in itself.

A wine gift with history — birth years, anniversaries and milestones

A vintage wine from a MICHELIN-distinguished domaine is more than a bottle — it is a memory from a particular year that they can open and taste. Our Burgundy vintages span from 1982 to 2008 and cover milestone birthdays, wedding anniversaries and company jubilees: a birth-year wine from 1994 or 1996, an anniversary wine from 1997, or a mature Premier Cru from the 2000 vintage. Mature Burgundy is among the wine world's most sought-after gifts — precisely because it is rarely found in the market once the year has passed.

Cellared, inspected and delivered with care

Every bottle in our cellar is assessed on fill level, label and provenance, and our wines are delivered in protective packaging, ready to be passed on. The assortment is unique: most bottles exist in one copy or a few. Once sold, it is gone.
